Kim, M.D., M.B.A., Physician-in-Chief, City of Hope Orange County and Vice Physician-in-Chief, City of Hope National Medical Center presents City of Hope's 2022 plans. This year, City of Hope is opening its NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center at FivePoint Gateway in Irvine and breaking ground on the county’s only cancer specialty hospital. Lennar Foundation Cancer Center at City of Hope Orange County will be the most advanced cancer treatment and research center in Orange
County, providing access to more than 400 physicians and 1,000 researchers and scientists solely focused on ending cancer. In addition to providing Orange County with first-of-its-kind cancer care expertise and pioneering cancer research, City of Hope is bringing important tech and medical jobs to Irvine and Orange County.
 


Edward S. Kim, M.D., M.B.A., is physician-in-chief at City of Hope Orange County and vice physician-in-chief at City of Hope National Medical Center. A U.S. News & World Report "Top Doctor" and clinician world-renowned for his immense oncology experience, Dr. Kim is driving innovation in cancer care and delivery, developing paradigms for translating research into clinical practice and introducing new therapies for City of Hope’s Orange County clinical network and planned Irvine campus.

Backed by a distinguished history of pioneering cancer research, Dr. Kim is among the country’s foremost experts in molecular prognostication – which advances cancer detection and personalized therapies – for lung, head and neck cancers. Dr. Kim has been recognized as one of the top cancer leaders in the nation by Friends of Cancer Research.
