Navy Veteran Turn Attorney, Philanthropist Shares his Story

Twelve-year Navy veteran and member of the Orange County Veteran Advisory Council, Marty Burbank, served as a medical deep-sea diver working extensively with Navy Seal teams, and went on the become a highly-respected and successful attorney and major philanthropist. He will discuss his journey, during a scholarship fundraising lunch for veteran families, Thursday, Feb. 16, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Lazy Dog Café in The Market Place in Irvine.

The founding partner at OC Elder Law, a firm recently featured on the cover of Attorney Journal - Orange County, Marty Burbank, JD, LLM, was named one of OC Register’s 100 Most Influential People in 2016 and has been featured extensively in local and national news, including the "Today Show" and "NBC Evening News" among many, for a remarkable pay-it-forward act of charity. He and his wife Seon Burbank in 2016 pledged $1.2 million to send an entire class of 26 kindergartners to college.

Join us as we hear his incredibly inspirational story and his commitment to helping others.

Proceeds go to the Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Wall Scholarship Fund through the Irvine Chamber Education Foundation to help veterans and children of veterans who are attending Irvine Valley College pay for tuition, books, and housing.
