The SBA’s Santa Ana District Office and Orange County/Inland Empire SBDC present the 7th Annual Southern California 8(a) and Small Business Conference. The 2017 Conference will be held at the Hotel Irvine on April 12, 2017.   

The purpose of this Conference is to provide a forum to educate, guide, and assist small business, in working with federal, local, and state governments. This event will provide an opportunity to meet buyers and contracting officers from large companies and government agencies to discuss business opportunities in a one-on-one setting.

The SBA’s Santa Ana District Office is engaging subject matter experts to deliver informative presentations on topics of importance to government and commercial sector prime and subcontractors through numerous workshops. There will also be plenty of opportunities for networking.

Keep in mind: THIS IS A TOOL IN THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS. DO NOT EXPECT TO WIN A CONTRACT ON-SITE. Ask pertinent questions and find out what companies and agencies are looking for and what you need to do to qualify.

In fiscal year 2016, there were $448 million in total contracts awarded. The Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center is responsible for on-orbit check-out, testing, sustainment and maintenance of military satellite constellations and other Department of Defense space systems. In fiscal year 2016, there were over $5.9 billion in total contracts awarded. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Irwin contracting office serves as a vital member of the National Training Center Team and a key component in the successful fulfillment of the installation.
