Event Description:
Learn the variety of business writing skills necessary to help you gain support for your ideas and express yourself appropriately and powerfully; learn how to effectively communicate and connect across generational, gender, age and cultural differences; learn how to listen in order to build opportunities and consensus; and explore situational use of multiple communication channels and technology platforms.
Instructor: Dr. Roopa Mathur, Chair and Professor, School of Business Sciences, Irvine Valley College (IVC); PhD in Management (Information Systems Management), MS in Computer Information Systems; BS in Electrical Engineering; taught numerous courses in Computer Information Management, Management, and Engineering; involved in IVC committees, including Academic Affairs, Academic Senate, Online Education, Technology, and Guided Pathways. Formerly employed by McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) as an Avionics Engineer
working on the C-17 aircraft. Dr. Mathur’s motto is "Never Stop Learning".
