The Business Attraction & Retention Committee will launch and sustain a business outreach program and on-going relationships with Irvine companies to encourage retention, growth & expansion.

Business mentors wanted! Students from across our Orange County colleges and universities will participate in a special “soft skills” workshop featuring Julie Hallsted as Instructor.


Successful Business Etiquette & Workplace Behaviors
Learn how to adapt and leverage your workplace environment; explore basic business practices, etiquette and those professional attitudes and characteristics that will define you; improve your ability to influence, perform and manage people, expectations and situations; navigate the demands and expectations of a fast-paced and evolving workplace; explore a variety of workplace cultures and test your abilities to adapt.

Instructor: Julie Hallsted, ACP, PHR, is a Certified Paralegal and Advanced Certified Paralegal currently managing legal support services for Island Restaurants, L.P., extensive experience in real estate, finance, regulatory and compliance matters, corporate, labor, employment, intellectual property law and contracts administration and management; BA in organizational administration/organizational leadership, AA degree and paralegal certificate as well as certificates in business/HR and supervision and management.

Join your colleagues and fellow members who will spend a half or whole day calling on Irvine businesses! Our mission: to inform them about the Chamber resources available to help their businesses grow; to learn about their business and any challenges they might have and to help them find solutions.

Celebrate and learn about our collaboration with Vital Link and the IUSD to take students to our 21st century jobs. Parker Aerospace, Blizzard Entertainment, Google, Zillow and more were aboard to host over 200 students at this special day of discovery.
